Red Bull "King Of The Rock"

When Red Bull gets their hands into it, they do it right! I got a call to get down to Ft. Bliss in El Paso to get some photos of the Red Bull King Of The Rock event. It's a 5 minute, 1-on-1 basketball, single elimination tournament with all the winners from the different regions meeting up in Alcatraz to be crowned the King Of The Rock. The clouds rolled in in made for an epic backdrop. The new International T1 truck was also a super sick backdrop. The back roof lift up and reveals a DJ booth on wheels! Big ass, bad ass wheels complete with 2 Xboxes out the tail gate. and 4 big flat screens and of course an amazing sound system. Good times. Thanks Mike!

Holga 1

I finally got my 2 rolls of 120 film back from being processed. I'm really liking the film feel! Here are 3 of my favs.

This was taken as smoke from an Arizona wild fire consumed Albuquerque. This is Montgomery Blvd. facing east. Usually you see the Sandia mountains.

Nixon Player

Nixon has been my favorite watch brand for the past 8 years. They have awesome customer service and very nice simple designs. I recently purchased the Rubber Player in black. By far, the most comfortable watch I have ever worn. Plus it looks good. I was just playing around with some product photos with it. This shot was the one I liked the most.I was kind of hesitate about post stuff like this about brands. I have heard some people say "No paycheck, no logo". But it's my blog and I'm the one who looks at the most. I think I'm the only actually. So, Thatcher, nice watch buddy!

Photosynth

Unbelievable. This is truly amazing. I just watched an old Ted talk with Blaise Aguera y Arcas about photosynth. The basic idea is that software he created will find all the images related to a search via social sites to create the image allowing the user to zoom in and see great details. That is still in the works but you can actually go to this site and check out the basic idea. Keep douple clicking and see how much you can zoom in. So rad!
